Netwatch Internships

Netwatch Internships

In 2016 Netwatch welcomed to the team our first ever University placement students to undertake a yearlong internship as Junior Intelligence analysts – Ash and Kelsey.

The interns join us from Coventry University after they successfully completed their second year of academic work. Ash is currently studying Forensic Investigations, whereby Kelsey is studying Criminology and Psychology, both will return to undertake their third and final year at university once they have completed their internship here at NetWatch.

Here’s what they have to say about their experience at NetWatch so far:

“I believe this experience has helped me further my career and my skills as an investigator. It has provided me with a valuable insight and I have obtained techniques which can be transferred to all sectors of work.” –Ash

“I would encourage university students to do a placement here because I believe it is a unique internship, providing you with a great deal of work experience that allows you to apply educational knowledge that you have learnt”. – Ash

“Although it initially seemed daunting, not many placement opportunities applied to me and the relevance of my course. Therefore, I believe NetWatch has been the best option for me and has allowed me to acknowledge and confirm my career options within the intelligence sector”. – Kelsey

NetWatch have worked closely with staff at the University of Coventry, offering annual placements to students on investigation based courses. This provides interns with an extensive insight into online investigation and social media intelligence. We offer a unique placement teaching individuals a variety of skills that allow them interrogate social networking sites whilst utilising in house software.

The Employability and Placement Advisor for Coventry University – Bodrun Nahar commented “NetWatch Global offer a rare internship opportunity for students who wish to explore the investigative/intelligence sector. It is very popular with our students as NetWatch Global invests time in training and supporting the students as well as allowing them to apply the knowledge and skills they have developed through their degree. Having worked with NetWatch on promoting internship opportunities, I can honestly comment, from the onset they have been very professional in their approach and it has been a pleasure to work with them.”

We hope to continue our relationship with Coventry University and look forward to welcoming our new interns in autumn 2017.
